M.A.,LPC,CAC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addictions Counselor for the state of South Carolina. I have been working in the counseling field for 8 years. During this time, I have worked in a correctional setting and outpatient setting providing services to individuals with co-occurring disorders. I have a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a M.A. in Mental Health Counseling. I have a passion for helping individuals heal and find their inner strength. This is achieved by building rapport, trust, and providing a safe place for individuals to process their thoughts and feelings.
Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use Disorders, Other Services, and Online Services.
Certain life events can leave us uncertain, depressed, anxious, and stagnant. These emotions can be uncomfortable making it difficult to process and work through. Through counseling and treatment, we can make a collaborative effort to work through these emotions and learn effective ways to cope.
Substance abuse can be complex and is only a symptom of underlying issues. Therefore, it is very important to address these issues to prevent reoccurring use. Therapy is a tool to help the individual move towards a life of recovery, provide support, healing, and healthy ways to manage symptoms (note: I do not see substance use disorders as a primary diagnosis).
Other services include stress management and nonviolent ex-offenders.
At Building Your New Counseling you can receive therapy from the comfort of your own home. I am currently providing Telehealth sessions on a HIPPA compliant platform due to COVID.
You don't have to do it alone. I am here to listen and assist you with getting back to a healthier you!
